Leading former prosecutors, including a member of the Watergate prosecution, said Tuesday that the only one stopping Scott Walker's release of emails from a secret computer network system — is Scott Walker himself.
Frank Tuerkheimer, who also is a distinguished professor of law at the University of Wisconsin, joined former Wisconsin Attorney General and U.S. Attorney Peg Lautenschlager and former Kenosha District Attorney Bob Jambois in examining Walker's failure to release hundreds, if not thousands, of emails that could show evidence of bid-rigging or other crimes now being investigated in the secret John Doe investigation.
Among other deceptions, Walker has not answered whether he is a target of the investigation; who is bankrolling his defense; whether he is being criminally investigated by federal prosecutors; and even the reasons WHY he is the only governor in the United States with a criminal defense fund.
He has ducked calls for release of the secret emails by hiding behind unverified calls by prosecutors. Read more about the high-powered contradiction to Walker's self-serving evasions here.
