Did Wisconsin’s political world learn anything from the now decade-old caucus scandal? Not nearly enough.
Charges were filed last week against former aides to Gov. Scott Walker when Walker was Milwaukee County executive. The charges allege a pattern of illegal fundraising — including public workers serving as private campaign soldiers on the taxpayer’s dime.
That’s precisely what sent several top lawmakers from both major political parties to jail years ago.
